Urogynecology
Urogynecology is a subspecialty of OB/GYN practice that addresses pelvic floor disorders. Common disorders include, but are not limited to, urinary incontinence, prolapse of the uterus and vagina or bladder (bulging or falling of these organs). Pelvic floor disorders are believed to result from the effects of childbirth and aging.
There are multiple treatment options for patients with pelvic floor disorders. Depending on the severity of symptoms, your healthcare provider may recommend medications, vaginal devices or surgical treatment options. Please make an appointment with your healthcare provider to discuss the best treatment for you.
